World Wellbeing Week with Organic India
Happy World Wellbeing Week 💚
This week is an opportunity to reflect on the various pillars of Wellness that can help improve our Mental Health & Wellbeing, from nutrition, movement, sleep, spirituality, environment, connection & personal development.
Nutrition is an important pillar of Wellness. What we consume impacts us physically & mentally. It is important to eat a healthy, balanced diet, reducing the sugar & caffeine we consume as well as staying hydrated to ensure we nurture our body and maintain wellbeing. Our supplements are a great way to meet your nutritional needs and support overall wellness.
Movement is great for Mental and Physical Wellbeing! Moving your body releases endorphins that can uplift mood & reduce stress. Movement also improves flexibility of joints, strengthens muscles and increases stability.
There are many ways you can incorporate movement into your day:
- Go on a walk with family
- Take the stairs
- Stretch during your lunch break
- Schedule a hike for the weekend
- Go to the Gym
In the current hustle culture, sleep deprivation & irregular sleeping patterns have become normalised. Sleep is as important as eating, drinking & breathing. It allows our body & mind to recharge & repair themselves, leaving you feel refreshed and alert when you wake up. Getting enough sleep is necessary to help your brain to function effectively. Our Honey Chamomile Tea can help you fall asleep as it contains Apigenin. Try drinking a cup 45 minutes before you want to go to sleep.
Spiritual wellness acknowledges our search for deeper meaning in life. When we're spiritually healthy, we feel more connected to not only a higher power, but to those around us. You may feel a higher sense of purpose, peace, hope, and meaning. You may experience better confidence, self-esteem, and self-control. It can help you make sense of your experiences in life & have more clarity when it comes to making everyday choices. There are many ways you can practice Spiritual Wellness from sitting down facing the sun and focusing on your breathing with your cup of tea for 10 minutes in the morning before you start your day, to doing a Yoga routine or journalling to build awareness. Brahmi & Tulsi are great herbs for raising awareness.
Personal development is looking inward and focusing on ways to better yourself. Personal growth isn’t easy but the benefits will make the journey worthwhile. Personal development increases your self-awareness, your self-esteem, increases your skills, and fulfil your aspirations.
Take out time to begin your journey of wellness and improving your wellbeing by doing what you enjoy.
